OTET Eligibility Criteria 2024
For general eligibility for the OTET Exam 2024, candidates must be Indian citizens. Additionally, they need to demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing in Odia, which can be proven through one of the accepted qualifications that confirm their ability in the language.
Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
Language Proficiency: Must be able to read and write in Odia, demonstrated by any one of the accepted qualifications.

OTET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Paper I
Class XII + DElEd: Passed Class XII with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education (CT or DElEd).
Class XII + NCTE Diploma: Passed Class XII with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations, 2002.
Class XII + BElEd: Passed Class XII with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and possess a four-year diploma in BElEd.
Class XII + Special Education: Passed Class XII with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and possess a two-year diploma in Special Education.
Graduation + DElEd/Special Education: Graduated in any stream and possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education/Special Education.
OTET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Paper II
Graduation + BEd: Graduated with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and completed a one-year BEd course.
Graduation + NCTE BEd: Graduated with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and completed a one-year BEd course as per NCTE Regulations.
Graduation + BEd (Special Education): Graduated with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and completed a one-year BEd course in Special Education.
Class XII + Integrated BA Ed/BSc Ed: Passed Class XII with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD) and completed a four-year BA Ed/BSc Ed course.
